Chocolate Cupcake Recipe
This basic chocolate cupcake recipe is the best. These chocolate cupcakes are so delicious you'll make them again and again.
When my girls were little, they loved these cupcakes with no frosting. I'd make a batch, freeze them, and thaw out a few at a time for a special homemade treat.
Ingredients: 2 cups flour 2/3 cups cocoa powder 1 teaspoon each: salt, baking powder, baking soda 2 cups sugar 2 large eggs 1 cup milk 1 cup water 1/2 cup canola oil 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions: 1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. Line muffin pans with 24 cupcake liners. 3. Sift the dry ingredients together in a medium bowl. 4. In another bowl mix together the eggs, milk, water, oil, and vanilla. 5. Combine the two mixtures. Blend well. Fill cupcake liners halfway with the cupcake dough. 6. Bake until done, approximately 15 to 20 minutes. You'll know they're know when the center springs back when gently touched. 7. Cool. Serve without frosting or frost with your favorite icing.
