Why not celebrate your love of chocolate? Discover a chocolate festival and make plans to attend. It really is delicious fun!

You'll find that chocolate events are held throughout the world. The focus is on chocolate and chocolate lovers everywhere are drawn to these yearly events. However, other activities may include live music, contests, arts and crafts, cooking demonstrations, wine tasting, and more.

If you like to travel, this is a great way to combine your love of chocolate with a getaway to someplace new. If I've left out an event that should be on this list, please let me know. I would be happy to add it the list.

Austin Chocolate Festival - October
This annual chocolate event is held each year in Austin, Texas to raise money for multiple sclerosis. Sample and purchase chocolate products from a variety of local chocolatiers and artisans. Vendors will be competing in a variety of different categories including best brownie, best mole, most creative dessert, best cookie, best frozen dessert, and best truffle.

Burlington Chocolate Festival - May
Burlington, Wisconsin has hosted this fest every year for more than 25 years. Visitors can enjoy 4 days of chocolate tastings, live music, cooking demonstrations, and contests. There's even wine and chocolate pairing and beer tasting. Don't miss the chance to try the chocolate-covered pickles!

Eurochocolate: Perugia Chocolate Festival - October
This festival takes place annually in Perugia, Italy. Enjoy delicious European chocolate. There's a variety of exotic flavors to enjoy. Satisfy your sweet tooth, immerse yourself in local Italian culture, and learn much more about this decadent food that many people love.

Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival - September
Ghiradelli Square hosts this annual event at their San Francisco location every September. Enjoy chocolate delicacies, sip wine, and enjoy fun family activities such as an ice cream sundae eating contest, chef demonstrations, live music, and a special chocolate tea.

Oakdale Chocolate Festival- May
This chocolate celebration began more than twenty years ago when Hersheys had a chocolate factory in this small California town. The factory has since closed its doors, but the chocolate tradition continues. Enjoy live music, arts and crafts, chocolate vendors, cooking demonstrations, classic car show, and both a one mile and a 5K run.

Oregon Festival - March
Celebrate chocolate at this weekend event in Ashland, Oregon. More than 40 Oregon chocolatiers will be tempting you with their fine chocolates. This charming Oregon town also has wineries to enjoy, interesting shops, and is home to the Ashland Shakespeare Festival.
