Mom's Chocolate Fudge Recipe - How to Make Fudge

One of My All-Time Favorite Homemade Chocolate Candy Recipes

Chocolate Fudge Recipes - how to make fudge

This chocolate fudge recipe has been one of all-time favorite homemade chocolate candy recipes for a long time. My mother used to make this fudge al long as I can remember.

Along with everything else, Christmas means enjoying this rich creamy fudge. Learning how to make fudge is a family tradition that has been continued by my daughter since Mom's death. Hooray for tradition!

Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups sugar
1 can Carnation milk
3 6 oz. bags of semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 lb. butter
1 jar marshmallow cream
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
Dash of salt
1 - 2 cups of walnuts (optional)

Instructions:
1. Boil sugar and milk for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
2. Remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients.
3. Mix well and spread on a large cookie sheet.

This fudge freezes well. Thaw out shortly before serving. Makes 5 lbs. of fudge.
