Chocolate Gravy Recipe

This chocolate gravy recipe is a Southern specialty. Pour this thick chocolate gravy over biscuits or a cream cheese coffee cake for a unique treat.


Ingredients for Chocolate Gravy:
4 tablespoons flour
2 1/2 tablespoons good quality cocoa powder
1/3 cup sugar
2 cups milk
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions for Chocolate Gravy:
1. Add all of the ingredients to a saucepan. Mix well. Cook over low heat until thick, stirring constantly to prevent lumping and burning.
2. Traditionally this chocolate gravy is served over biscuits. It's also wonderful served over a cream cheese coffee cake or toast.
